Keith Laverne Newcomer age 75 of Hillsboro, died Thursday, September 26, 2002 at the Highland District Hospital. He was born March 14, 1927 in Bryant, Indiana the son of the late John S. and Mary M. Zigler Newcomer. He was a retired machinist for the Systems Research Lab in Beavercreek, a W.W. II Army Air Force Veteran, a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #9094, Military Order of the Cooties and AmVets Post #61, a member of the Bainbridge American Legion Post # 14 and a former member of the Highland County Honor Guard. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude “Trudy” Densinger, whom he married October 27, 1948 in Germany, one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Linda Newcomer of Kettering, two grandchildren, Jennifer Newcomer and Jacob Newcomer. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 30, 2002 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial with military honors provided by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until the time of service at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
