Dear Nakoff Family; We are sorry to be unable to be with you at this time. Our relationship goes back quite a ways. Naturally you and I all remember our school days even though some of you were rather young at the time. My respect for you and your family goes back beyond your school days and goes to the time when your grandfather Shaffer was the director of the town band and I was fortunate enough to play trumpet with the band. Your parents were so proud of their children and the way they performed in school and of course the way you have lived your lives since. The loss of a mother is indeed a loss that stirs memories that last a long time and help us to recall many of the things she told us long ago. Just yesterday my wife reminded me of something my mother told me when I was just a wee tot. Yes what effect we have on our children is unknown but when that loss occurs then we recall memories of days gone past. May God continue to bless all of you and your families and may you remember some of our past friendship. In Christian love. Skip and Chrys P.S. Rest assured Leo Kuhn will help you by his words at the service.
