Virginia R. Mount, age 81, of Milford, passed away Monday, May 21, 2007 at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery.  She was born January 25, 1926 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Linden Phillip and Iva Lois Ludy Pence.  She and her parents lived in Bellevue, Kentucky until they moved to Lynchburg in 1936.  She went on to Graduate from Lynchburg High School in 1944 and attended Wittenberg College in Springfield, Ohio.  She had worked at Air Services Command and Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton during the summers and eventually transferred to the Clinton County Air Force Base in Wilmington.  On June 7, 1947 her father, Rev L.P. Pence, officiated wedding ceremonies for Virginia to Victor Mount at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lynchburg.  Virginia and Victor moved to Cincinnati in 1963, then relocated to Milford where they had live for 30 years.  She had been a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church and the church choir since 1967, and had worked for the Mariemont School system for 17 years.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela (Scott) Mount-Heimlich; and two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert (Barbara) Mount, and Gary (Kristie) Mount, all of Milford; five grandchildren, Bryan Mount, Kari Mount, Kelli (Eric) Brown, Julie (Mike) Hazard, and Jeff Mount, all of Milford; and three great-grandchildren, Trey Mount, Tate Mount, and Cassidy Hazard.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband Victor Mount on April 26, 2003; and an infant daughter, Vicki Lee Mount.  Funeral services will be 12:00 pm Friday, May 25, 2007 at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Milford.  Reverend William Fenker will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg, and from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Milford.  Memorial donations may be made to the St. Marks Building Fund, 5849 Buckwheat Road, Milford, Ohio 45150.  For more information and to sign our online register please visit www.turnerfunerahomes.cc

I'm sorry to hear of Virginia's death. She and I were in the same grade in high school, and I enjoyed seeing and visiting with her at the Lynchburg Alumni dinners.
