Gertrude Mount, age 101, of Lynchburg, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006 in New Vienna. She was born on February 20, 1905 in Williamsburg, the daughter of the late Otto and Ella (Watt) Bishop. She was a member of the Bloom Rose United Brethren Church and attended the Lynchburg First Church of Christ. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Carolyn Branham of Lynchburg, a son Jesse Lee Mount of Lynchburg, a daughter-in-law, Virginia Mount of Milford, six grandchildren, Robert (Barbara) Mount, Gary (Kris) Mount, Pamela (Scott) Heimlich, Cynthia (Joe) Lukas, Diana (Larry) Stanforth, Barry (Cheri) Branham, twelve great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred R. Mount on May 12, 1993, a son, Victor Mount, an infant daughter, a granddaughter, Vicki Lee Mount, a brother, Roy Bishop, a son-in-law, James Branham and a grandson-in-law, Tom Richards. Funeral services for Mrs. Mount will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2006 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Daryl Mount and Rick Godlove will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2006 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
