Damon
L. Morrow,
age 76, of
Leesburg, died Friday evening, May 4, 2007 at Heartland of Hillsboro. He was
born July 9, 1930, the son of the late Stanley Robert and Ethel Pearl (Holmes)
Morrow. He was a member of the Leesburg Friends Church, and was past president
and a charter member of the Highland County Antique Machinery Club. He was a
long-time fireman and a retired chief with the Leesburg Volunteer Fire
Department. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served with the Corp. of
Engineers in occupied Japan following World War II. He was an electrician, and
was retired from the Village of Leesburg Water Department. He is survived by a
son, Dale and his wife Kerry Morrow of Leesburg, a brother, Delbert and his wife
Sandra Morrow of New Vienna, three grandsons, Matthew and his wife Beth Morrow
of Frankfort, Trent and his wife Stephanie Morrow of Leesburg, Joshua Morrow of
Leesburg, three great grandchildren, Kaylee Morrow, Bree Ann Morrow, Wyatt
Morrow, long-time friend Kenny Stevens Jr., of Leesburg, many nieces and
nephews, and his faithful friend Bup, his dog. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen, who passed away August 20, 1996.
Funeral services for Mr. Morrow will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the
Leesburg Friends Church. Pastor Mary Cyrus will officiate, and Pastor John
Fitzgerald will co-officiate. Burial with military honors presented by the
Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends
may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2007 at the Leesburg
Friends Church. Fireman’s services will take place at 8:00 p.m. Memorial

Street, Leesburg, Ohio 45135.
