George Joseph Morris, age 83, of Hillsboro, died Monday, March 27, 2006 at Heartland of Hillsboro. He was born on April 20, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Joseph Cleveland and Margaret Marie (McNulty) Morris. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army Air Corps., and was an Engineer with the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Materials Lab for over nineteen years. He was a member of the Air Force Materials and Manufacturing Alumni Association and the Ohio Headquarters American Legion Post # 888. On March 23, 1982, in Fairborn, Ohio, he married his wife Kazuko (Nagayama) Morris, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Marilynn Morris Revelle of Annapolis, MD, Elizabeth Morris and Ron Peterson of Bel Air, MD, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Martin G. and Cheryl Morris of Nashville, TN, John J. Morris of Dayton, six grandchildren, Jack Revelle, Cati (Aaron) Mitchell, Michael Morris, Matthew Morris, Joseph (Brigid) Peterson, Susan Peterson and one great granddaughter, Emma Byrd Mitchell. In accordance with his wishes, the Turner & Son Funeral Home provided cremation services. There will be no visitation. Burial with military honors will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro is serving the family.
