James P. “Jim” Morgan age 84 of Hillsboro died Sunday evening April 9, 2006 at the Mt. Carmel West Medical Center in Columbus. He was born August 5, 1921 in Washington C.H., Ohio the son of the late James and Bernice (Hare) Morgan. Mr. Morgan had been a rural mail carrier for forty-seven years and had also been engaged in farming. He was a member of the Highland County Senior Citizens, the Leesburg United Methodist Church, the Leesburg Lodge #78 F. & A.M. and a charter member of the Leesburg American Legion. He was U. S. Marine Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Rosalie (Henson) Morgan whom he had married on April 15, 1951 in the Leesburg United Methodist Church, two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Lisa Morgan of Sabina, Craig and Lynn Morgan of Hillsboro, four grandchildren, Leah Morgan, Tristan Morgan, Scott Morgan and Allyce Morgan and several Nieces and Nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Jones. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13th at the Highland County Senior Citizens Center, 185 Muntz Street, Hillsboro. Pastor Bob Carroll will officiate. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the Hardin’s Creek Cemetery at Bridges. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
