Eileen Moore, age 81, of Lynchburg, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at her home. She was born June 19, 1929 in Lynchburg, the daughter of the late John and Hattie Hall Fender. She is survived by her husband Vernon Moore to who she married April 14, 1951 in Washington C.H.; sister Ann Griffith of Lynchburg; two brothers, Fred (Lucy) Fender, and Melvin Fender both of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, John Michael (Courtney McNeal) Moore of Leesburg, Tracy (Doffie) Howard of Kalispell, Montana, and Danielle (Mike) Bazin of Crown Pointe, Indiana; and two great grandchildren, Zack Howard and Liam Bazin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son John Wesley Moore; sister Iva Jean Marshall; and two brothers, Carey Fender and Claude “Tad” Fender. Funeral services will be held 1 pm Monday, November 29, 2010 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Leo Kuhn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, Taylorsville.
