“John” Corbett L. Moore age 77, of Hillsboro, died April 8, 2002 at his residence. He was born September 5, 1924 in Bonny, Ky. the son of the late John Corbett and Serenie Ethel Adams Moore. He was the owner of the Moore’s Pest Control; a W.W. II Army Veteran, a member of the Lions Club in Xenia, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite, member of F & AM Lodge # 0049, Xenia, Antioch Shrine of Dayton, Ohio and an honorary Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by his wife, Jewell Watkins Moore whom he married October 26, 1946 in Xenia, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Charles Davis of Hillsboro, a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Rita Roberts of London, Ky.; four grandchildren, Angie (Pat) Fille of Cincinnati, Jonathan Roberts of Xenia, Kim Roberts of Jeffersonville, Cheryl Cress of Jeffersonville and five great grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, and Kristina Roberts of Jeffersonville, Tia Hull and Nick Fille of Cincinnati. Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 12, 2002 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Chaplin Greg Perkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens with military honors rendered by the Highland County Honor Guard. Friends may call 11:00 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 1 West McDonald Way, Maysville, Ky. 41056.
