Jerry Ray Mooney age 43 of Hillsboro died Saturday June 1, 2002 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was born April 8, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Howard Ray and Sally Rose Kirk Mooney. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a self-employed masonry worker and worked at Highland Precision Plating in Hillsboro. He was a 1978 graduated of Mt. Healthy High School. He is survived by his wife, Maria Marsh Mooney whom he had married on June 7, 1984 in Hillsboro, three daughters, Bethany Amber, Dorothy Maria, and Colleen Rene Mooney all of whom live at home, father and step-mother, Howard Ray and Patty Mooney of Ridgeview, West Virginia, one sister, Debbie Mooney Klems of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, three step-sisters, Donna, Diane and Debbie, one nephew, Michael Klems of Avondale, several step nieces and nephews and a special friend, Greg Jones of Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Rose Kirk Mooney and stepbrother and stepsisters, Danny, Barb and Delores. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Second Creek Cemetery in Blanchester. Pastor Robert Gilkerson will officiate. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Post #49 Memorial Squad. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
