James “Jim” Cheston McWilliams age 82 of St. Augustine, Florida, died Sunday, January 18, 2004 at his residence. He was born May 20, 1921 in Huntington, West Virginia the son of the late Clare L. and Alberta (Brown) McWilliams. Mr. McWilliams had owned and operated the Parker Hotel and had lived in Hillsboro for over thirty years. He had lived with his son, Walter McWilliams in St. Augustine since 1997. In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Helen McWilliams and his son, James Cheston McWilliams. He is survived by two daughters, Patty Anne Lorenzo of Perrysburg, Ohio, Elizabeth Onofrey of Perrysburg, Ohio, two sons, Walter Buffington McWilliams of St. Augustine, Florida, William Locke McWilliams of Louisville, Kentucky, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A private family service will be held Saturday January 31, 2004 at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Hillsboro. There will be no visitation. The Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.
