Barbara E. McConnaughey, age 72, of Dayton, formerly of Hillsboro, died Thursday, December 15, 2005 at the Springfield Community Hospital in Springfield, Ohio. She was born October 18, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of the late Ralph and Annabelle Yontz Arnett. She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Farquer of Dayton; three sons, Danny (Karen) McConnaughey of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, Steven McConnaughey of Kettering, Ohio, and Gary McConnaughey of New Carlisle, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jason Farquer of Hillsboro, Amy (Tom) Kehrer of Walton, Kentucky, Mitch Davis of Hillsboro, James Corp of Cleveland, Ohio, Jacob Curtsinger and Kayla Curtsinger both of Mt. Washington, Kentucky; two great-grandchildren, Mason Kehrer of Walton, Kentucky and Keenan Davis of Hillsboro; three sisters, Phyllis Sampson of Port Clinton, Ohio, Dorothy (Sonny) Ballinger of Zanesville, Ohio, and Nancy Lewis of Kentucky; and one brother Ralph (Wilma) Arnett, Jr. of Florida. In addition to her parents she is preceded by her husband Wayne McConnaughey in 1994 and one daughter, Diane Davis in 1989. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. John Porter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery.
