Eugene D. “Gene” Mahorney age 74 of Leesburg died Monday, October 4, 2004 at the Highland District Hospital. He was born June 30, 1930 in Joplin, Missouri the son of the late Joseph Floyd and Violet (Defore) Mahorney. He was a retired shipping clerk and a veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn “Kate” (Bradley) Mahorney whom he had married on November 5, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio, daughters and son-in-law, Sam and Dave Williams of Hillsboro, Kim Cline of Harrisburg, sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Faith Mahorney of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Michael Mahorney of Hillsboro, Sean and Pam Mahorney of Hillsboro, Daniel and Rita Mahorney of Leesburg, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
