Lloyd
C. Ludwick age 89 of Hillsboro, Ohio, the Allensburg Community, died Sunday
morning, January 8, 2006 at the Highland District Hospital. He was born December
7, 1916 in Allensburg, Ohio the son of the late Claude and Vernice (Stroup)
Ludwick. Mr. Ludwick had retired as sales manager of the Fairley Hardware Store
after twenty-eight years of service. He was a life member of the Allensburg
Church of Christ and had served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a member of the Board of
Directors of the Highland County Veterans Service Commission, Life member of the
VFW Post 9094, the American Legion Raymond R. Stout Post 129 and Disabled
American Veterans, had served on the Board of Directors for the Highland County
Senior Citizens and the Highland County HeadStart, was a member of the Highland
County Democrat Central Committee and had served as Dodson Township Trustee for
twenty-eight years. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry &
June Ludwick of Montgomery, Alabama, daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Dewey
Hays of Titusville, Florida, six grandchildren, Ginger and Travis Taylor of
Washington C.H., Penny and Charles Dawes of Jeffersonville, Deana and Jimmy
Smith of Montgomery, Alabama, Doug Simmons of Leesburg, Jeff and Brandy Ludwick
of Montgomery, Alabama, Christy and Allan Scherer of Titusville, Florida and
fourteen great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by his wife, Mildred (Claibourne) Ludwick on March 31, 1996 and by four
brothers, Dwight, Harold, Lowell and Everett Ludwick. Services will be held
10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in
Hillsboro. Bob Stevens will officiate. Burial with full military honors will
follow in the Barnes cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until
8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. For more
