Dearest Family,

I just heard the news. My heart is grieving with you. Parents are supposed to live longer than their children, that's the natural order of things. However, Sometimes, God takes some home to be with Him...We don't know the reason why. One day we know all things will fall into place. In times like these we know Jesus is with us. Jesus wept for His friend Lazerus and for Martha and Mary. Jesus wept with us also. We have the 23rd Psalm to cling to, Jesus is the shepherd who protects us.

So, Lean on your pastor...Lean on your family...Lean on your friends...and last but certainly not least lean on your church family and community...

We are standing with you and praying for comfort to come.

Sincerely, Pastor Mary Cyrus Highland UMC

Mr and Mrs Duncan, John and Shawnda - I just heard the news about Lynn, and I am so very sorry to hear this. As you know Lynn was just one year ahead of me in school, and my Grandma Heckathorn lived just across the street from you as you were growing up. I know as parents this is going to be a very difficult time. I lost my oldest son in August of 2005, he was just 24. I have leaned on God for comfort, and continually ask him to help me understand and come to terms with the reasons we are asked must face these difficult times in our lives. I extend my deepest sympathy to all of you. You will be in my thoughts and my prayers.

Thinking of you!

Cara (Heckathorn) Miller

I am so sorry to hear about this. Lynn and I remained in contact for the past four years following our break-up in January of '03. She loved her family more than anyone will ever know. She was by far the most beautiful, intelligent and spiritual lady I have ever met. Please keep Josh and Amanda in your prayers. I am sure they are as devestated as every one else who knew and loved Lynn. She will be sorely missed.
