Rebecca “Betty” Leach age 79 of Hillsboro died Tuesday evening, February 8, 2005 at the Highland District Hospital. She was born April 19, 1925 in McArthur, Ohio the daughter of the late William and Hazel (Goodin) West. Mrs. Leach had been a cook for the Webster Elementary School for several years. She had attended the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Louellen and Jim Keith of New Vienna, Cathy and Jim Ward of Englewood, two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Linda Leach of Highland, Kenneth and Jennifer Leach of Saint Clairsville, Ohio, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one brother, Raymond West of Chillicothe and two sisters, Mary Watson of Frankfort, Ohio and Nellie Stumbo of Bidwell, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and Luster West. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. John Porter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
