Frances Elaine Lamphier age 92 of Lynchburg died early Saturday, March 30, 2002 at her residence. She was born September 11, 1909 in Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania the daughter of Francis and Pauline (Pavlock) Blashock. She and her husband Charles “Bob” Lamphier owned and operated the Sunnyside Inn in Allensburg from 1973 until 1991. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons, Charles R. (Sharon) Lamphier of Melbourne, Florida, Dennis (Beverly) Lamphier of Fayetteville, four daughters, Mary (Judd) Pollock of Madeira, Kathy (Richard) Johanneman of Covington, Kentucky, Carol “Cookie” Lamphier of Cincinnati and Susan (Randy) Smith of Lynchburg, fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one sister, Cecelia Augspurger of Centerville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Bob” Lamphier, seven sisters and three brothers. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at the St. Martin Catholic Church. The Rev. Mike Savino will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Martin Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.
