
James Morton King age 66 of Peebles died Sunday, March 13, 2005 at his residence. He was born February 13, 1939 in Hope, Kentucky the son of the late James Monroe and Rosetta (Ford) King. He was a senior machine operator for the Senco Company in Newtown for 28 years, and a member of Adams County Children’s Services where he and his wife have been foster parents since 1996. On February 20, 1963 in Hamersville he married Marietta Allen King who survives along with his daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemary and Tim Darling of Hamersville, Melody Sue King and Rick Bourbeau of Withamsville, Robin and Daniel Freeze of Hillsboro, sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin Kenneth and Melissa King of Mowrystown, Jamie King of Peebles, Brian Keith King of Hamersville, Terry King of Peebles, a brother, Floyd King of Kentucky, sisters, Dorothy Cinners of Kentucky, Bertha Whitaker of South Lebanon, his twin sister, Norma Jean Slack of Mt. Orab, 22 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Strother King, Lloyd King, Clarence Clay King, Dallas Morton King and his sister, Ida Mae Jackson. Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 17, 2005 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. David Wirth will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Withamsville. Friends may call 5:00 until 8:00 P.M.
