Evelyn L. Jandes age 79 of Sarasota Florida died Sunday, March 31, 2002 at the Doctors Hospital in Sarasota. She was born May 15, 1922 in Wilmington, Ohio the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucille (Pickerell) Parker. Mrs. Jandes had worked in retailing for the Litts Department Store in Hillsboro and the Rikes Department Store in Dayton. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Blanchester. She is survived by her husband, Frank B. Jandes whom she had married on July 25, 1942 in Lynchburg, Ohio, cousins, Olive Mae Sweetman of Reesville, Harriet L. Tudor of Bowersville, Patricia Bell of Helena, Montana, Mary Margaret Eveslage of Kettering and James Pickerell of Bethesda, Maryland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Parker Jr. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. The Rev. McClellan Nicholson and The Rev. Mary Cochran will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
