Irma M. Ingles, age 78, of Wilmington , formerly of the Highland County area, died Saturday evening, December 31, 2011 at the Hospice of Butler and Warren County in Franklin . She was born August 20, 1933, in New Holland, Ohio, the daughter of the late William Henry and Cora Ethel (Hunt) Arledge. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, was a fantastic cook and housekeeper, thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren, and especially delighted in playing cards with her siblings. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, George A. and Karen Ingles of Muncie, Indiana, George M. ”Mike” and Alma Ingles of Freeport, Texas, Robert E. and Elaine Ingles of Washington C.H.; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Dallas DeWeese of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Brian (Lisa) Ingles of Washington C.H., Tiffany Ingles of Muncie, Indiana, Michael (Rachael) Ingles of Freeport, Texas, Steven DeWeese of Wilmington; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, David (Nancy) Arledge of New Holland and William (Karen) Arledge of Washington C.H.; four sisters, Norma Jean Rohrer of New Holland, Janet (Steve Althouse) Hawkins of Washington C.H., Mary Lou (Gary) Althouse of Washington C.H., Jane (Gene) Nance of Bloomingburg as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, George Arthur Ingles, on September 9, 1999, a daughter, Teresa Lynn Fryman, on June 23, 1993, and a brother-in-law, Earl Rohrer. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2011 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro . Pastor Elizabeth Looney will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery . Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2011 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
