Christine Hurt, age 75, of Lynchburg, died Friday, March 10, 2006 at Highland District Hospital. She was born on January 30, 1931, in Swan Pond, Kentucky, the daughter of the late T. and Rachel (Reynolds) Farmer. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Lynchburg. She is survived by her husband, Hunter W. Hurt, Sr., of Lynchburg, three daughters, Jacqueline (Donald) Rawlins of Lynchburg, Helen (Terry) Owens of Clermont County, Alda Joann Horn of Wilmington, two sons, Hunter W. “Rick” (Vicki) Hurt, Jr. of Lynchburg and Nathan A. (Tara) Hurt of Lynchburg, fifteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one sister, Edith Raider of Cincinnati, one sister-in-law, Lois Chestnut of North Carolina, two brothers-in-law, Charlie (Clara) Hurt of Lynchburg and Ollie J. Hurt of Missouri, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Christopher Hurt, one brother and one sister. Funeral services for Christine will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at the Faith Baptist Church in Lynchburg. Pastor Robert Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2006 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Memorial donations may be made to the Faith Baptist Church, P.O.
