Clarence E. Humphreys age 100 of Hillsboro died Monday, November 1, 2004 at the Highland District Hospital. He was born July 27, 1904 near Clarksville, Ohio the son of the late Raymond and Nora (Nicholson) Humphreys. Mr. Humphreys was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church, the Highland County Senior Citizens, Clarksville Masonic Lodge #323 F. & A.M. of which he was a seventy-seven year member and had served past Master in 1935, the Hillsboro Chapter #40 Royal Arch Masons, Hillsboro Council #16, Royal and Select Masons #71 and a member of P.E.R.S. He is survived by one son and daughters-in-law, Larry E. and Marilyn Humphreys of Avon Lake, Ohio and Sheila Humphreys of Pataskala, Ohio, three grandchildren, Kevin Humphreys, Brian and Sharon Humphreys and Amy and Tony Davis, three great grandchildren, Brittany and Nicholas Humphreys and Adeline Davis. In addition to his parents, his wife, Mabel (Davis) Humphreys, a son Gerald W. Humphreys and a sister, Helen H. Young, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Brian Humphreys will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Maple Grove Cemetery in Port William, Ohio. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Humphreys to the charity of the donor’s choice.
