James Howard Huff age 51 of Leesburg went home to be with the Lord Sunday morning, August 21, 2005 at his home. He was born July 9, 1954 in Fayette County, Ohio the son of the late Hadley T. Huff and Mary Jane (Fisher) Huff Burgess of Leesburg. Mr. Huff was a birthright Quaker and member of the Leesburg Friends Church. He had also attended the Hardin’s Creek Friends Church. He was a lifelong farmer of the Elm Springs Farm and project engineer for the Mason Company in Leesburg. He was an active member of the Wilmington Emmaus Community, a member of the Leesburg Lions Club, Highland County Farm Bureau and the Quaker Knoll Camp Board. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Katherine L. (Sodt) Huff whom he had married on August 10, 1991in Gahanna, Ohio; two sisters, Jana (Mike) Huff-Daye of Leesburg, Jeanetta (Fred) Turner of Leesburg; two step-brothers, Richard Burgess of Greenfield, Wayne (Kim) Burgess of Leesburg; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John F. and Patricia Sodt of Westerville; nieces and nephews, Joseph A. and Krista N. Turner of Leesburg, Jennifer L.H. and James Andrew Daye of Leesburg , Joshua G. and Jaime M. Daye of Lebanon, Ohio, Brian K and Jennifer Sodt of Vancouver, Washington, Christopher T. and April Sodt of Kansas City, Missouri, Cara L. Sodt of Westerville, Kimberly J. Sodt of Lexington, Kentucky, great nieces and nephews, Xavier M. Richards of Leesburg, Nathan Sodt, Ashley Sodt and Andrew Sodt all of Vancouver, Washington and Mia Sodt and William Sodt both of Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father, Hadley T. Huff and his stepfather, Ervin B. Burgess. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2005 at the Leesburg Friends Church. Pastors, John Fitzgerald, Michael Daye, Anthony Tompkins and Chuck Tabor will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, August 25, 2005 from 2:00-4:00 and 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Leesburg Friends Church. Lions Club services will be Thursday at 8:00 pm.
