Agnes
Hubbard,
age 96 of Lynchburg, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Highland District
Hospital. She was born January 8, 1914 in Lynchburg, Ohio the daughter
of the late William Miles and Mary Frances Mezger Setty. Mrs. Hubbard had served
as Lynchburg Village Clerk for thirty-four years. She was a member and past
treasurer of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lynchburg and was a former member
of the Three Arts Club and the Fun Bunch at the United Methodist Church. She
is survived by two daughters, Dorothy (Fred) Belvo of Crossville, Tennessee,
Jean Harman of Henderson, Nevada, five grandchildren, Tami Ann (Joel) Pierre
of Salem, Virginia, Andrea Kaye (James Jr.) Stinson of Xenia, Kathy (David)
Blaugrund of Henderson, Nevada, Kerry Harman of West Carrollton, Ohio and Todd
Belvo of South Lyon, Michigan, five great grandchildren, Mikaela Burton, Amanda
Burton, Michael Blaugrund, Jordan Blaugrund and Skyler Pierre, one brother,
Stanley Setty of Hillsboro and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Hubbard on April
21, 1988, one son, John Hubbard, two sisters, Gertrude Eaglin and Elizabeth
Jodry and one brother, John Setty. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday,
September 4, 2010 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Rev. Bob Skipper
will officiate. Burial will follow in the Troutwine Cemetery. Friends may call
on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in
Lynchburg.
