Synthia Howard, age 76, of Leesburg, died Monday afternoon, November 7, 2011 at her home. She was born November 3, 1935, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carl and Ada (Smith) Brickey. On June 20, 1958, in Portsmouth, she married her husband of fifty-three years, William A. Howard, and he survives. She is also survived by four children, Adamarie Beatty of Leesburg, John Howard and Gary Howard, both of Washington Court House, and Bill Howard and his wife Tasha of Hillsboro; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one sister, Louise Kirkendal of New Boston, Ohio. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family, with burial following at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg. There will be no public visitation.
