Edna Rosalie Hopkins age 82 of Hillsboro died Monday, July 19, 2004 at her residence. She was born July 2, 1922 in Danville, Ohio the daughter of the late James Leroy and Margaret Marie (Roush) King. She was a Past President of the Hillsboro VFW Auxiliary Post 9094. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Twilla Swackhamer of Hillsboro, Mary and George Cox of Fairborn, nine grandchildren, Jamal Hopkins of Fairborn, Rebecca Hyghslope of Corbin, Kentucky, Michelle Davis of Fairborn, Brenda Davis of Fairborn, Miranda Cox of Fairborn, Barbara Pontius of Fairborn, Ryan Hopkins of Hillsboro, Rodney Swackhamer of Washington Court House, Rustin Swackhamer of Hillsboro, thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and a nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean E. Hopkins of October 22, 1983, one great grandson, Joshua Ryan Hopkins and one sister, Thelma Lee King. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Chris Tannreuther will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rabbit Hash Cemetery in Boston. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, P. O.
