Wayne S. Hibbs, age 78, of Midland, died Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Laurel’s of Blanchester Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 5, 1932 in Martinsville, Ohio the son of the late Coleman and Ruth Brown Hibbs. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. Wayne had worked at Mosaco for more than 48 years. He is survived by four children, Wayne Allen (Mattie) Hibbs of Midland, Tommy Hibbs of Midland, Barbara Hibbs of Washington C.H., and Joyce Ann Hibbs of Washington C.H.; seven siblings, Helen (Pat) Bradford of Milford, Faye Powers of Independence, Kentucky, Janie (Sam) McKee of LaGrange, Indiana, Lucille Breusaugh of Blooming Springs, Tennessee, Billy (Leila) Hibbs of Beavercreek, Daryl (Sharon) Hibbs of Buford, and Janet (Tommy) Simons of Amelia; ten grandchildren, Mandi Byrom, Candi Helton, Laura (Chris) Mullins, Wayne T. Hibbs, Kathy (Travis) Minton, Bobbi (Tony) Barber, Jami Hibbs, Jessie Crampton, Angel (Shawn) Kellough, and Shannon Gregory; eighteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Doloris L. Hibbs, who died November 22, 2005; daughter Wanda Kay Gregory; sons Arnold Lee Hibbs and Charles E. Hibbs; and brothers Robert and Dale Hibbs. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Rick Godlove will officiate. Burial will follow in the Martinsville I.O.O.F Cemetery where the Clinton County Honor Guard will accord military honors.
