Heffington Sr.,
age 75, of
Hillsboro, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at Crestwood Nursing Center. He was born
June 30, 1931, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the son of the late Benjamin Harrison
and Myrtle (Dickerson) Heffington. He retired after a career that spanned
twenty years as a charter bus driver. He was a member of the Samantha Freewill
Baptist Church. He is survived by five children, Debbie and her husband Ed
Banks of Hillsboro, Kim and her husband Wayne Walker of Englewood, Benjamin R.
Heffington II of Englewood, Rhonda and her husband Kevin Vaughn of New York,
Brandee and her husband Kevin Neal of San Jose, California, five grandchildren,
Scott (Lisa) Banks of Hillsboro, Andy Vaughn of New York, Amy Walker of
Englewood, Amanda Heffington of Englewood, Alex Heffington of Englewood, a
sister, Delores Law of Louisville, Kentucky, close family friends April and
Jerry McGuire and their son David, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and
cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a
daughter-in-law, Nancy Denise Heffington, two sisters, Ruth Taylor and Cricket
Holder, and a brother, James Heffington. A celebration of Mr. Heffington’s life
will be held from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m Friday, April 20, 2007 at the Samantha
Freewill Baptist Church, where the family will receive friends and share
fellowship. Memorial donations may be made to Community Care Hospice, P.O. Box
123, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. The Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro is
serving the family.
