
Wava Louise Hawk age 89 of Wilmington, Ohio died Thursday evening, October 27, 2005 at the Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 31, 1916 in Tyrone, Oklahoma the daughter of the late Charles and Opal Redkey Bennett. She was a 1934 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Dayton, Ohio and was inducted into the National Honor Society in 1934. Mrs. Hawk had worked for fifty-four years alongside of her husband John, managing the Fairley Hardware Stores located in Lynchburg, Wilmington, Sabina and Hillsboro. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Richard Cleverly of Beavercreek, son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Julie Hawk of Sabina, six grandchildren, Mark (Tracy) Cleverly of Beavercreek, Cheryl Cleverly Fenton of Dayton, Doug Hawk of California, Melanie (Joe Gall) Hull of Sabina, Tina (Klay) Maynard of Hillsboro, Bobby Crites of Clarksville, eight great grandchildren and one sister, Justine Griffy of Columbus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Lawrence Hawk on April 1, 1996. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Rev. Donald Mertz will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Department at the Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 75 Hale Avenue, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. The family would like to thank the employees at the Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care, to Dr. Allen Liu for his medical services and a special thank you to a special friend Raydene Willie.
