Ella Harriet Harrsch age 85 of Hillsboro died Wednesday afternoon July 14, 2004 at the Laurels of Hillsboro. She was born November 19, 1918 in Paris, Arkansas the daughter of the late Charley and Ella (McVay) Harley. Mrs. Harrsch had retired as a budget analyst working as a civilian for the Department of the Navy. She was a member of the Sugar Tree Ridge Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Bruce Howett of Hillsboro, son, Richard D. Harrsch of Gulfport, Mississippi, four grandchildren, Daniel Harley Howett, Johanna Kappner, Charles S. Harrsch, Angela H. Jesser and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur H. Harrsch on September 1, 2002, one son David Arthur Harrsch, two brothers, Benjamin Harley and Douglas McVay Harley and one sister, Rose Madeline Harley. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2004 at the McVay Cemetery in Paris, Arkansas. H. C. Varnadore will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to The First Christian Church, 120 E. Walnut St., Paris, AK 72855 or the Salvation Army, P. O. Box 2075, Russellville, AK 72801. The Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Ohio is serving the family.
