Elsie
Fern Hall, age 53, of Sardinia, died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the
Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro. She was born March 2, 1958 in St.
Louis, Missouri the daughter of the late Richard and Kathleen Sheets Metz. She
was a member of the Hollowtown Church of Christ and the Hollowtown Church of
Christ Ladies Fellowship. She is survived by her husband, Nolan Bernard Hall
whom she had married on October 12, 1985 in Danville, Ohio; five children, Mindy
(Joe) Eury of Morrisville, Terry (Carissa) Cruea of Lynchburg, Heather (Allen)
Hixson of Lynchburg, Jerry (Jenny) Hall of Lynchburg, and Scott (Devon) Hall of
Lynchburg; two sisters, Maryellen (Richard) Cook of Sharonville and Linda
(Roger) Roever of St. Louis, Missouri; three brothers, John “Moe” (Lori) Metz of
Kansas City, Kansas, Glen Metz of St. Louis, Missouri, and Daniel (Dianna) Metz
of Greenfield; fourteen grandchildren, Aaron and Kyle Younker, Lexi, Joey and
Brett Eury, Eric and Keira Cruea, Adriean, Hunter and Jayden Hixson, Nolan B.
Hall II, Shaden, Olivia and Carson Hall. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Jean Hopkins; and two brothers, Ronnie
and Joe Metz. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2011
at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Gerald Florence and Joe Cluff
will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery. Visitation
will be held Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral
Home in Lynchburg. Memorial contributions to assist with expenses may be made to
