William E. Gulick, age 74, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, April 28, 2006 at Whispering Pines Nursing Center in Washington C.H. He was born October 23, 1931 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Gus and Stella Fawley Gulick. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict; a member of the V.F.W. Post #9094, Hillsboro; AMVETS Post #61, Rocky Fork Lake; and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1161, Hillsboro. He is survived by four children, Mark and his wife Connie Gulick of Boone, North Carolina, Candy and her husband Timothy Griffith of Hillsboro, Kimberly and her husband Robert Lewis of Alexandria, Kentucky, and Jeff Gulick of Hillsboro; sister Bonnie and her husband Jim Cummings of Mowrystown; two brothers, Delmar and his wife Deloris of Hillsboro, and Doyle Mayhugh of St. Mary’s, Ohio; six grandchildren, Mandy, Bridgette, Megan, Shannon, Aaron, and Jesse; and three great grandchildren, Camryn, Emily, and Benjamin. In addition to his parents he is preceded by his sister Doris. Graveside funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2006 in the New Market Baptist Cemetery. Charles Wilson will officiate.
