Richard L. “Dick” Griffith age 72 of Lynchburg died Saturday, August 24, 2002 at the Mercy Hospital in Fairfield. He was born May 16, 1930 near Harwood, Ohio the son of the late George E. and Frances A. (Dean) Griffith. He was a farmer, a member and elder of the Pricetown Church of Christ, had also served the church as a deacon, served on the Highland District Hospital Governing Board for twenty eight years and had been president of the board for several years. He had also been a trustee in Salem Township for sixteen years. He is survived by his wife, Ann (Fender) Griffith whom he had married on August 28, 1948; three sons and daughter-in-law, Danny Griffith of Wilmington; Robert and Joyce Griffith of Lynchburg; Kenneth Griffith of Indian Springs, Ohio; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Jim Julliard of Maineville, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Martha Griffith of Lynchburg; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Virgil Barber of St. Martin, Sarah and Danny Farmer of Lynchburg, Bonnie and Melvin Nicholas of Wilmington; nine grandchildren, Jennifer and Kyle Julliard, Kimberly Lay, Jason, Joshua, Erin, Kathryn, Amy, and Ashton Griffith and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony and Elon Griffith. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Pricetown Church of Christ. Leo Kuhn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Harwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Pricetown Church of Christ.
