Justin Arnold Germann age 78 of Ft. Myers, Florida died Wednesday morning, May 11, 2005 at the Shady Rest Care Pavilion in Ft. Myers. He was born January 17, 1927 in Ripley, Ohio the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Downing) Germann. Mr. Germann had been a chemical engineer for the LaFarge Company in Portsmouth for thirty-four years and was a U. S. Marine serving in World War II. During Mr. Germann’s years in Portsmouth, Ohio had been a member of the Central Church of Christ where he had served as a deacon and an elder and along with his wife he had been a member of the choir not only at the Central Church of Christ but also at the First Christian Church in Ft. Myers. He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou (Roush) Germann whom he had married at the Danville Church of Christ on April 18, 1950, two sisters, Rosalie Bissett of Lake Placid, Florida, Cecilia Murray of Red Bluff, California, one brother, Donald Germann of Palmyra, Indiana, one niece, Beverly Grove of Dayton and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Max and Irene Roush of Danville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Germann and one sister, Geraldine Lunsford. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Dennis R. Dawes will officiate. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard, will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
