Homer Edward Frost passed away July 19, 2010 at the V.A. Hospital in Chillicothe, Ohio surrounded by loving family. Born to the late Stanley and Bessie Lee Morris Frost, April 9, 1923, Homer attended school in Hillsboro. He married Maxine Griffith in 1942. He was a veteran of World War II with the Army/Air Corp serving in the South Pacific and a member of the National Guard. Homer worked as a welder/fabricator in Cincinnati, owned his own welding business, worked for ODOT and Wells Toy Factory. Later in life he worked for Hills and Dales. As a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ, he served as a deacon. He was instrumental in the church’s bus ministry both driving and maintaining the bus. He and Maxine spent many hours working with the youth. Later, he enjoyed his Sunday school class and the many activities they shared. He was preceded in death by his parents, half-brother Wilbur Frost, and half-sisters, Mildred Gibson, Goldie Mullenix and Leondas Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Maxine, daughter, Barbara Wirick (Hillsboro), sons Darryl Frost (Lynchburg) and Ron Frost (Hillsboro) and daughter, Penny (Tim) McGinnis (Mount Orab), special nephew Russell Creed, and friend of the family John Otey. Known affectionately to his grandchildren as “Pa” he is survived by nine grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Bettie Jean Faulkner (Chillicothe), and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, July 24 at 3:00 p.m. at the Allensburg Church of Christ with Bob Stevens and nephew, Pastor Jeremy Griffith officiating. There will be a meal following the service. I was so sorry to hear of Homers' passing! What a dear man he was...always with that quiet sense of humor...and delightful chuckle! He will be missed by all of you, but God has another 'good guy' for His team.

Dear Maxine and Family Just learned of Homer's death and sure wish I could be there to give big hugs to all of you. I heard alot of stories about Homer from my Grandmother while I was growing up. Sorry I found out of his passing to late to make the service, but you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
