Richard L. Fite age 73 of New Vienna, Ohio died Monday, May 15, 2006 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. He was born April 23, 1933 in Franklin, Ohio the son of the late Arnold and Ruth (Berry) Fite. Mr. Fite was a machinist with General Electric in Cincinnati before being transferred to Florida where he retired in 1994 from General Electric/Martin Marietta. He is survived by his wife, Nellie (Bowman) Fite whom he had married on December 31, 1949 in Letcher County, Kentucky, two daughters and a son-in-law, Judith Ann Dean of Huber Heights, Lois Jane and Gregg Smith of Pleasant Plain, Ohio, two sons and a daughter-in-law, John Richard Fite of Alachua County, Florida and Joseph Beldon and Diane Patricia Fite of Midland, Ohio, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Daryl Fite of Lake City, Florida, Robert and Mary Fite of New Vienna, sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Butch Brunck of Hillsboro, Shirley Fite of Australia, Wanda and Kenneth Brown of Folsom and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Lewis. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
