Helen Louise Fishback, age 93, of Hillsboro, formerly of Leesburg, died Friday, October 14, 2005 at the Crestwood Nursing Center.  She was born May 2, 1912 in Leesburg, Ohio the daughter of the late Thomas “Terry” and Mary Jane (Polk) Slaughter.  Her whole life was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom she adored.   She was a member of the Staunton United Methodist Church, past member and President of the Washington C.H. Garden Club, member of the Hillsboro Sr. Citizens, and she was an avid quilter. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Fredrick Lee and Carrie Fishback of Cummings, Georgia, Don M. and Brenda Fishback of Hillsboro, and David Terry and Barbara Fishback of Lexington, North Carolina; fifeteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Albert “Lee” Fishback, January 6, 2003; two sisters Kathryn Connell and Mary Etta Penn; and two brothers Harrison Terry Slaughter and Paul Thomas Slaughter.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. John Porter will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Leesburg.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time if service at 2:00 p.m.  Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Hope, 9090 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, Kentucky, 41056.   For more information and to sign our on-line register please visit www.turnerfuneralhomes.cc
