Helen R. Farquer, age 85, of the Buford area, died Thursday, May 12, 2005 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia.  She was born July 29, 1919, in Midland, Ohio the daughter of the late Herbert and Bertha E. Barnes Walker.  She graduated in 1936 from the Jefferson High School and was a lifelong farmer along with her husband Thomas Farquer in the Buford area.  She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Judy and James Daryll Purdy of Buford, three sons and one daughter-in-law, Ted Farquer of Deerfield Township, Ohio, James and Marcia Farquer of South Lebanon, Ohio and Russell Farquer of North Ft. Myers, Florida; two sisters in law, Catherine Walker of Lynchburg and Lydia Breckel of Lynchburg; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Farquer on March 27, 2004; two brothers Donald and Dale Walker; two sisters Maxine Nickell and Pauline Rankin; and two grandchildren.  Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at the Buford Cemetery.  Leo Kuhn will officiate.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg.  Donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  For more information and to sign our on-line register, please visit www.turnerfunerahomes.cc
