Henry Evans Elswick age 75 of Grovetown, Georgia died Thursday, April 24, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. He was born October 6, 1927 in Seco, Kentucky the son of the late Levi and Ida (Taylor) Elswick. Mr. Elswick had retired as the groundskeeper for the McDuffie County Hospital in Georgia. He is survived by his wife, Paula Jean (Stroup) Elswick, three brothers, Wess Elswick and Dan Elswick of Grovetown, Georgia, Clarence “Bud” Elswick of Logan, Ohio, two sisters, Alma Evans of Huber Heights, Ohio, Pearl Marie Burton of Franklin Furnace, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2003 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor John Maggard will officiate. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
