Fred
Gorman Dumford
age 93 of Mt. Orab,
Ohio (Buford Community) died Friday morning April 16, 2010 at his residence. He
was born February 14, 1917 in Brown County, Ohio the son of the late Ralph
Linley and Iva Holman Dumford. Mr. Dumford was a lifelong farmer and a member of
the Highland County Senior Citizens. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Spaeth
Dumford whom he had married on November 11, 1953, two daughters, Lisa Kay
(James) Johnson of Buford, Linda Jean (Tom) Mitchell of Bainbridge, two sons,
Fred Allan (Judy) Dumford of Buford, David Loring (Sandy) Dumford of
Fayetteville, eight grandchildren, Charity Downing, Jason Dumford, Nancy Oxley,
James Mitchell, Joseph Mitchell, David Dumford, Jarod Dumford, Heather Dumford
and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by three grandchildren, Daniel Allen, Susan Dumford and John Mitchell and
one sister, Helen Dumford. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday,
April 19th at the Buford Cemetery. There will be no public
visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland County Society
for Children and Adults, P. O. Box 258, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133. The Davis-Turner
Funeral Home is serving the family.
