Jack E. Deyo, age 65, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, November 13, 2003 at the Laurels of Hillsboro. He was born August 22, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Raymond O. and Stella Marie Twigg Deyo. He was a life member of the AMVETS Post #61 Rocky Fork Lake. He is survived by his step-father Eugene Groves of Hillsboro; daughter Sandy Carlene (Dale) Lightle of Newark; sister with whom he made his home, Annabelle Brunner of Hillsboro; brother George (Bea) Deyo of Columbus; grandchildren Carl Allen Lightle, Tasha Lightle and Samantha Lightle; one great grandson; special nephew James Perkins; nephews Donald (Greta) Fout of Porter, Texas and Terry (Cindy) Fout of Wilmington; nieces Sharon (Daron) Davis of Newark and Brenda (Bud) Damron of Hillsboro; special friends Jack and Rose Thompson, Terry and Gwen Patterson, Tom Patterson, Robert and Virginia Shaw, and Elizabeth Springer; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Raymond M. Deyo and Jerry M. Deyo; and one sister Joanne P. Wynkoop. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2003 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Brother Wiley Perkins of the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery where the Highland County Honor Guard will provide Military Honors. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
