
Inez P. Dean, age 81, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, January 17, 2004 at the Highland District Hospital. She was born April 5, 1922 in Piketon, Ohio the daughter of the late Henry J. and Emma (Kemper) James. She was a 1940 graduate of Scioto Township High School; she had formerly worked for Dr. Grey Eckert, Optometrist, in Hillsboro; and in Purchasing at the Highland District Hospital. She was a member of the Highland County Senior Citizens. She is survived by her children Sylvia Hill of Hillsboro, Sue and her husband Ed Turner of Hillsboro, Joyce and her husband Gary Thomas of Hillsboro, Jane and her husband Dale Johnson of Bainbridge, and Beth Dean of Indiana; sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son Jeff Dean, one brother Ralph James and one sister Ruth Youree. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Bill Bowman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mound Cemetery in Piketon. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Columbus School for the Blind, 5220 N.
