Willard Earl Davis, age 89, of Hillsboro, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Laurels of Hillsboro. He was born October 27, 1920, in Winchester, a son of the late Clarence and Lucille (Roberts) Davis. Mr. Davis had retired from the Irwin Company in Wilmington after forty years of service. He was a member of the Cynthiana Church of Christ in Christian Union, where he had served as Treasurer and Elder for forty-one years. He is survived by three children, Phil Davis and his wife Diane of Hillsboro, Steve Davis and his wife Janet of Wilmington, Karen Fraley and her husband Tim Fraley of Hillsboro, seven grandchildren, Aaron Davis, Matthew Davis, Adam (Nicole) Davis, Lauren Davis, Andrew Davis, Derek Fraley and Kallie Fraley, as well as two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-nine years, Mary (Waulk) Davis, on November 1, 1994, and a brother, Donald Davis. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Cynthiana Church of Christ in Christian Union. Pastor Terry Lawson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sugar Tree Ridge Cemetery.
