John B. Davis, age 69, of Lynchburg, died Friday, April 1, 2005 at his residence. He was born August 14, 1935 in Highland County, Ohio the son of the late William Harley and Mary Carolyn Howland Davis. He was a millwright for the Countrymark Landmark Company for 31 years. He is survived by his wife Ella M. Burns Davis, to whom he married June 11, 1965; three children, Angie (Keith) Hodge of Lynchburg, Stacey (Will) Shrader of Lynchburg and Denton John Davis of Lynchburg; five grandchildren, Sabrina A. Hodge, Zachary D. Hodge, Michael G. Shrader, Jacob S. Shrader, and Makayla B. Shrader; two brothers, William Denton Davis of New York and Walter Eugene Davis of Hillsboro; and one sister, Laura Agnes Johnson of Greenfield. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 7, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
