
Ramona Jane Daugherty age 74 of Hillsboro died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at her home. She was born June 14, 1929 in East Danville, Ohio the daughter of Lawrence R. and Tiarella R. (White) Davidson. Mrs. Daugherty was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ where she was very active with the THEO Ministry and was also a member of the Highland County Senior Citizens. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianna Jane and Thomas Denney of Inwood, West Virginia, two grandchildren, Joshua Thomas Denney and Lydia Marie Denney of Inwood, West Virginia, one sister, Audrey M. Davidson of Hillsboro and one brother, Lawrence Davidson of Hillsboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, whom she had married on July 24, 1950, Dwight Thomas “Tom” Daugherty on December 28, 1989. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of the Hillsboro Church of Christ. David Stokes and Jim Bush will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sugar Tree Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Due to our bad weather conditions today, it will be impossible to attend Ramona's funeral services this afternoon.
Ramona will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her. Her dedication to her church and her deep devotion to family will stand her in good stead as she wends her way to Heaven.
