Ruth Evelyn Crawford age 80 of Buford, Ohio died Sunday, September 8, 2002 at the Highland District Hospital. She was born July 25, 1922 in Buford, Ohio the daughter of the late Oscar A. and Eva Mae Roades Evans. Mrs. Crawford had retired from Cincinnati Milacron in 1988. She had worked in Food Service as a cook at both the Afton and Mt. Orab Plants.  She had been a member of the Daughters of American Revolution, Buford Chapter #284 and the Buford Ladies Aide. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jerry and Daltonna Crawford of Bloomingsburg and Rodney Crawford of Buford, two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Bill Pemberton of Greenwood, SC and Donna J. and Jim Gibson of Lynchburg; two sisters, Lois Delaney of Syracuse, NY and Mary Fawley of Pricetown; six grandchildren, Warren Russell and Jackie Pemberton, Matthew, Mark and Rebecca Winkle, Curtis and Melissa Crawford, two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Adrienne and Logan Pemberton; a sister-in-law, Betty Evans of Washington C.H. and a brother-in-law, John “Bob” Crawford of Buford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Crawford on November 30, 1986, one sister, Bonnie Crawford and one brother, James Evans. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Jerry Crawford will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Buford Cemetery.
