Mary L. Counter age 84 of Hillsboro died Thursday morning, March 18, 2010 at the Laurels in Hillsboro. She was born October 16, 1925 in Dresden, Ohio the daughter of the late Grant and Beulah Keller Cordray. Mrs. Counter had retired from the Stanley Home Products Company in Zanesville, Ohio after thirty-five years of service. She was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church in Dresden, Ohio. She is survived by her special nephew and caregiver, Bobby Joe (Beverly) Brown of Bainbridge, nephew, David DeAngelis of Oldsmar, Florida, two nieces, Barbara Jean (Jesse) Walters of Kentucky and Deborah Hoard of Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William Counter, two sisters, Eunice DeAngelis and Marie Brown and one brother, James Cordray. Services will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 21st at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Scott Campbell will officiate. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Monday at the Dresden Cemetery in Dresden, Ohio, Rev. Webster Cox will officiate. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Bobby Joe and family--I am so sorry I could not be there to share the good memories of Mary. If I were not so sick nothing could have kept me away. I loved Mary and I am happy her prayers have been answered, she is celebrating with her Mom and sister that she loved and missed so much and her other friends and family. Gary and I both loved the time we spent with Mary and Gary really enjoyed her "funnnies" and all the sweets she brought down to him. We will never forget her. God has her and we are thankful for that. She's dancing now! God bless the family and friends. Love Gary and Joyce
