Bessie Marie Cooper age 90 of Sun Valley, Arizona formerly of Hillsboro, died Wednesday June 2, 2004 at the Winslow Campus of Care in Winslow Arizona. She was born July 22, 1913 in Pike County the daughter of the late John H. and Reilla Anne Cox Jackson. She owned and operated the Hilltop Soft Serve in Morrow, Marie’s Lunch Box in Wilmington, the Crossroads in Midland, Marie’s Railroad Restaurant in Blanchester and for many years baked the pies for the Snow Hill Country Club. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Ethel May and John Nelson of Sun Valley, AZ.; two sons and daughter-in-law, Owen Lee “Buck” and Rose Cooper of Reesville, John W. Cooper of Hillsboro, two sisters Cora Penwell and Chloe Knisley both of Bainbridge, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Her husband, Milton V Cooper whom she married August 18, 1934 in Waverly, Ohio preceded her in death along with two brothers, Andrew and Ernst James Jackson and 4 infant children. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2004 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.       Burial will follow in the Lapperall Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
