To Uncle Elmer & each cousin & family members: Please accept my sympathy in the loss of a wife, mother, & grandmother. She was one of my favorite aunts whom I have been holding close to my heart. She always knew when we needed a hug & was the best hugger ever. Her life to be celebrated now for many things, but the first that comes to mind was her love for Jesus which has spilled over to all of us. She has crossed over now to be with Him. Sincerely with love, Harriet

To Uncle Elmer, Mike, Stephen, Catherine, Sarah and Cecilia and family members: Aunt Koneta was a very, very special and caring person who meant a lot to me throughout my life. Her commitment to her family, her love of Jesus Christ, and her life as a care-giver influenced me greatly. I will miss her very much. Love, John.

Elmer, and family; I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful, loving, caring, devoted woman "Cookie" as I knew her, was. I am sure that you all know all that and more, but I am so thankful to have known her, and the impact she had on my life I am grateful for. I truly believe she was one of Gods chosen people to be here on earth and touch the lives of the many that she did. I worked with her at Oakland Nursing Center when it first opened up in 1977. She taught me so much about love, and compassion that I will never forget her! She not only was my boss, but she became my friend. In 1987 I followed a dream I had to become something more than a nursing assistant. It was Cookie who inspired me and gave me the confidence that I could do something more with my life. I am now a surgical tec at Clinton Memorial Hospital and still remember all the inspiration that Cookie has instilled in me. Rest assured that God has prepared her a place in heaven with him, for if anyone is deserving of it it would be her. May God give you all the peace in your heart and be with you in your time of sorrow. You all are in my prayers. You have lost a dear loved one, but Heaven has gained a blessed soul. God be with you all. In Christian love, Valerie Deaton
