Hattie Marie Colwell age 84 of Hillsboro died Friday, April 29, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born March 25, 1921 in Sardinia, Ohio the daughter of the late Perry W. and Florence Cook Ramsey. Mrs. Colwell was a retired cook having worked at the Hillsboro Elks for many years. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Nellie Mae and Ronald Adams of Hillsboro, Louella Rosselott of Cape Coral, Florida, Dorothy Marie Fenton of Blanchester, Jean and Tom Kessinger of Hillsboro, son and daughter-in-law, David and Connie Berry of Wilmington, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren and brothers and sister-in-law, Edward Ramsey of Ripley and Wilbert and Jenny Ramsey of Aberdeen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Allen Elmore, great grandchildren, Donald Lloyd Adams and two infant twins, two brothers, Thomas and Leroy Ramsey and one sister, Dora Smith. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Northview Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Brother Jeff Griffin will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Northview Baptist Church. The Turner & Son Funeral Home of Hillsboro is serving the family.
